Description
This swivel pelham has attachments for two reins, one near the mouthpiece and one at the end of the shank. These reins have similar action to the curb and bradoon reins in the double bridle. The cheekpieces operate independently of each other due to the swivel action of the mouthpiece.
This bit offers a range of poll pressure and leverage on the mouthpiece and curb.
It is supplied with curb chain, hooks and orange bit guards.
In the Bomber Blue Swivel the mouth piece is not fixed, so that the horse can decide where the mouth piece is most comfortable in its mouth. The port allows for tongue relief and the swiveling action reduces tongue pressure to a minimum. The material used allows the bit to remain light and it encourages salivation. It is particularly well suited to horses that object to metal mouth pieces.
