This pelham bit is crafted with a steel inlay encased in soft plastic that promotes active chewing and salivation. The anatomically correct mouthpiece ensures uniform pressure distribution across the mouth and the tongue. The cheeks not only prevent lip rubs but also eliminate direct contact between the horse’s mouth and the stainless steel rings on the sides. This design caters not only to horses with metal allergies but also offers extra stability, keeping the bit in a steady position. Pelhams operate through a lever. This bit comes in a 5cm cheek length or a 7cm cheek length. The bit pictured here is the shorter of the two.
