This is a popular bit due to the curved mouthpiece which distributes pressure more evenly over tongue and bars. With the offset centre link it will reduce “nutcraker” action and pressure points on the tongue. The Gag Curb uses the concept of a Rope gag but instead of applying poll pressure, it is used to apply curb pressure from the second/bottom rein. Although poll pressure is not totally removed as there is a similar action to the Ring or Drop Cheek on the bit/top rein. The Square Twist will create more pressure points on the mouthpiece which will make it stronger than the Round Twist and Smooth. Made in South Africa
